Barbara's Bio

Barbara can't remember a time when she didn't love to read. But it wasn't until seventh grade, when she had to write a single paragraph action scene for English class, that she became hooked on writing. That was also the last time she wrote anything short.

She began writing "romantic" stories as a pastime in high school for an audience that consisted of her sister and a friend in Minnesota. After attending college in her hometown of Freeport, Illinois she married her high school sweetheart, Craig, raised two children, Julia and Brian, lived in several regions of the United States, and pursued various work experiences - all of which have provided rich resources for her stories. She now resides in Naperville, Illinois.

Barbara has been a member of Windy City Romance Writers of America since its "birth" in 1991. She is also a founding member of the Futuristic, Fantasy, and Paranormal Sub-Genre of RWA.
