Rose Thayer is a faery born in the mortal world. Her magic has been part of her nearly all her life. It also pushed away her best friend Brandon Goodfellow. They are both grown now and it is Rose's job to debunk Brandon's illusions in his magic show. When he challenges her, she agrees to suspend use of her magic while she investigates his show. However, some magic just cannot be turned off.
Brandon's father was Fae but gave up all his power to become mortal, and Brandon just cannot get why. To give up so much is beyond his comprehension. To not take advantage of a talent is also beyond him, and yes, he is jealous of Rose's magic. But jealousy is only one strong emotion and not the most potent. Can Brandon come to understand just how powerful love is?
I had so much fun reading IMPRACTICAL MAGIC. Ms. Fox takes the faery world,
imposes it on our world and then makes the whole thing her own. I so enjoyed
revisiting her universe and being swept away by the story. IMPRACTICAL MAGIC
is a delight to read and I highly recommend it. And yes, I do want to know if
