About the Author:

Sheryl Stevens was born and raised in a well-regarded mid-western family. She attained a college degree in Business Administration, which led to working primarily in the field of accounting, besides several years of employment in social service positions. Sheryl is the mother of three grown children, along with one grandson. She was formerly a fifteen-year resident of southern California, returned to her hometown in North Dakota for nine years, and currently resides in Seattle, Washington.

The motivation to write the book, evolved over several decades of unsuccessful attempts to find help, first of all for her own depression, later on her daughter’s relentless battle with addiction, and the realization of the enormity of these problems everywhere. Ultimately Sheryl’s search for answers led to experiencing a Vision of hope which then became her foremost purpose in composing the book.
